Letter from the (New) President

Dear TCYBA Families!

I am pleased to announce that I have accepted the position of President of the TCYBA for Spring 2017. Many of you know me as Coach Joy or Team Mom for the Pirates in the Recreation Program. For those of you unfamiliar with our Pirates family; I have been coaching with my husband L’Erin Hampton since Spring of 2014. We started out with a T-ball team that is now in the 8U division (Go Pirates!). Over the years we have acquired an older team that is playing in the 10U division, and 2 more teams this past fall: T-ball/6U Pirates and 8U Bandits. You will usually see me running around with L’Erin coaching or just parenting our two kids: Nathan and Matthew.

As many of you know I am passionate about the experience of playing, coaching and watching baseball. I am committed to applying that same passion to the entire league. I love the game of baseball and enjoy teaching young players valuable lessons on and off the field. Since I have assumed this role, I have met with other associations in the MetroPlex as well other partners that will help take our vision for the program to the next level. I want baseball to bring families in our community together. We will incorporate events such as clinics and other training to improve players’ skills, host fun community events, and offer other fun opportunities for our players to learn the game! Of course, I cannot do this by myself. I have had the pleasure of working with great volunteers on my individual teams and I have enjoyed working with the current TCYBA board members.

We will definitely need your help in the coming season(s). I would value your offers to volunteer to help create a fun and exciting baseball program for the youth in our community. Please stay tuned to our website and social media pages as we announce some pretty cool events that we have planned. As always, I appreciate your continued support and I hope to see you on the field this season!!

-Yours Truly

Coach Joy
